1. Origin and origin of lychee
In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, Mr. Hoang Van Com from Thanh Ha, Hai Duong worked as a porter at Hai Phong port. When he went to work, he picked up 6 lychee seeds from Thieu Chau (China) merchants who ate the fruit and threw them away. He brought it back and planted it and grew 3 trees, but only 1 tree is still alive and has been cared for and grown, and branches have been taken to plant more to this day.

To remember Mr. Hoang Van Com, his descendants built a shrine next to this ancestral lychee tree. Because it originates from the Shaozhou people, it is called lychee. This ancestral lychee tree still exists and is owned by Mr. Hoang Van Thu - Mr. Hoang Van Com's grandson.
In front of the tree, there is a concrete stele with the name of Mr. Hoang Van Com to remember him for bringing delicious lychees back to his hometown like bringing rice to the villagers.
