Product specifications

  • Live: size per order, transported in aerated tanks or oxygen bags.
  • Frozen: whole cleaned, steaks or fillets; frozen and kept under cold chain.

Sturgeon exports require a CITES permit

All Acipenseriformes species not in Appendix I were listed in CITES Appendix II, effective 1 April 1998, following the decision at the 10th Conference of the Parties (CoP10, Harare, 1997). Sturgeon, including farmed fish, therefore needs a CITES export permit issued by the CITES Management Authority of Vietnam.

Vietnamese legal basis: Decree No. 06/2019/ND-CP dated 22 January 2019 on the management of endangered, precious and rare forest fauna and flora and implementation of CITES, as amended by Decree No. 84/2021/ND-CP (effective 30 November 2021).

Export documents for China

  • A health certificate for each shipment and farm traceability records.
